Dr. Janice Eng, a professor in the faculty of medicine’s department of physical therapy, has been awarded UBC’s highest honour conferred on a faculty member.
A University Killam Professorship recognizes exceptional teachers and researchers who are leaders in their fields, and who have received international recognition for their talents and achievements.
Dr. Eng is a world leader in stroke recovery research, from basic neurobiology to novel clinical interventions and treatment programs, and has implemented these programs globally. She is the Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Neurological Rehabilitation, has been recognized for excellence in mentoring early-career faculty, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.
